The S POWER™ MWT230 Portable Journal Lathe is used when shaft journals exhibit wear, scoring, taper, or dimensional loss that exceeds allowable limits and require material restoration followed by precision machining or thread cutting. By integrating all three operations—machining, welding, and threading—the system enables complete in-place shaft repair, reducing downtime, transport costs, and alignment risk.
